DJ Vlad and N.O.R.E. and their previously simmering feud is now sizzling under a roaring blaze. The Ukrainian-American interviewer threw yet another shot at the Queens veteran, prompting many in the culture to react.
As Hip-Hop Wired reported last week, DJ Vlad and N.O.R.E. were at odds after the New York rapper turned podcaster agreed to sit down with Vlad yet later declined. Vlad took umbrage at N.O.R.E. not appearing on his program, calling him a “snake.”
N.O.R.E. responded by saying he has the right to change his mind and it could be assumed that he realized the optics of sitting down with Vlad could look a way to observers considering that many are not fond of the interviewer despite his massive viewership.
Fast forward to Tuesday (September 1), DJ Vlad shared a response to N.O.R.E. with Charleston White posing the question regarding the beef. For over 19 minutes, Vlad lays into N.O.R.E., calling him a “washed up rapper” among other barbs.
Sharing the video on X, Vlad’s tweet was captioned “F*ck @noreaga as a rapper, podcast, and a crew. And if you’re down with Nore, then f*ck you too,” borrowing from 2Pac’s “Hit ‘Em Up” diss track towards The Notorious B.I.G. and Bad Boy Records.
Vlad didn’t quite get the response he was looking for, or maybe he did considering he isn’t one to shy away from controversy. However, the reactions we’ve seen so far have been, in a word, intense.
