First Black Woman to Register a Drone Academy in Texas is Now Featured on Daymond John’s Next Level CEO

Steffanie Rivers, Founder and CEO of TCB Drones

Nationwide — Steffanie Rivers is making history. As the founder and CEO of TCB Drones, she became the first Black woman in Texas to register a drone academy. That barrier-breaking milestone has now earned her a feature on Next Level CEO, the business platform led by entrepreneur and Shark Tank investor Daymond John. She is being spotlighted among entrepreneurs performing at the highest level.

The drone industry is projected to generate billions in revenue in the coming years, yet one of its biggest gaps isn’t technology — it’s awareness. Many Black and Brown professionals remain unaware that the door to this industry is wide open. Steffanie has positioned herself at the forefront of closing that gap. Her story is not just about drones — it’s about expanding access and opportunity.

But visibility like this doesn’t happen by accident. After partnering with TeamVision Media, a Dallas-based communication and PR strategy firm, Steffanie didn’t change her business — she changed how her story was told. The strategy focused on connecting her work to a larger national conversation about representation in emerging industries.

“We didn’t alter what she built,” said Kevin D. Williams, founder of TeamVision Media. “We focused on how her story connects to a larger conversation — access, representation, and opportunity in emerging industries.” Through that positioning, Steffanie’s story gained the traction needed to attract national attention. “This is about showing people what’s possible when the right story meets the right positioning,” Williams added.

Through TCB Drones Academy, Steffanie is equipping individuals to enter the drone industry, generate new income streams, and build sustainable business opportunities. She is also hosting a free upcoming webinar designed to help people learn how to enter and profit from the drone industry.
