Founder of Black-Owned Energy Company is Now Converting Organic Waste into Diesel Fuel, Electricity, and More

Michael Henry, founder and CEO of Gridmaster Energy

Nationwide — Michael Henry, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Gridmaster Energy, Inc., one of the very few Black-owned energy companies in the U.S., has acquired Gridmaster Solar One Inc. and is merging the two businesses into one company. He acquired Solar One for its experienced sales force and its proven franchise business model, but he will not offer solar products. The newly combined company is now focused entirely on waste-to-energy solutions.

Gridmaster Solar One built a franchise network and a trained sales organization, along with the systems for recruiting, training, and supporting franchisees. Those people and systems now become part of Gridmaster Energy, which markets its own branded pyrolysis systems that convert organic waste into diesel fuel, biochar, electricity, and verified carbon credits. The systems are built by Gridmaster Energy’s manufacturing partner and sold under Gridmaster Energy’s naming rights to farmers, trucking companies, and steamship companies.

The combination supports a single idea: energy without walls. Gridmaster Energy’s customers produce fuel, power, and biochar on their own farms and work sites from waste that would otherwise go to a landfill, instead of depending on outside suppliers. Gridmaster Energy’s franchise works the same way — franchisees are not confined to a territory and can serve customers wherever they are.

“Solar One gave us something you can’t buy off the shelf: a sales force that knows how to sell energy independence, and a franchise model that has already been built and tested,” said Michael Henry. “We are putting that experience to work on one mission. Our customers turn waste into fuel and power right where they work. That’s what we mean by energy without walls.”

What the combination means:

• One company, one focus. Gridmaster Solar One’s sales force, franchise systems, and operations now operate as part of Gridmaster Energy, Inc., focused only on waste-to-energy.

• Sales force. Solar One’s experienced sales professionals will help lead Gridmaster Energy’s franchise growth.

• Franchise model. Solar One’s recruiting, training, and support systems become the foundation of Gridmaster Energy’s franchise network as it grows.

• Demonstration tour. Gridmaster Energy’s trailer-mounted demonstration units are scheduled to begin touring in December 2026, showing farmers and business owners the pyrolysis system in operation.
