Pink Friday turned into BLUE Tuesday for Nicki Minaj!
The rapper’s MAGA midterm campaigning has made her the subject of relentless roasting on social media after she popped up outside a New Hampshire polling location on Election Day to pose with Republican supporters. But as Democrats claimed victories in states where she’d publicly supported the GOP, critics wasted no time clowning Trump’s traveling tagalong for her shameless sycophantic starship shenanigans.
According to NBC 10, Nicki was escorted by police to an appearance outside a polling location at Pinkerton Academy in Derry. Video obtained by NBCLA showed the “Beam Me Up Scotty” rapper posing for photos with White Republican pollers as they stood in line to cast their votes. While Nicki appeared to be smiling at moments, she also flashed what looked like a somewhat uncomfortable smile as she participated in the photo op. At one point, she briefly exchanged words with a woman in the crowd who commented on how “beautiful” she looked and thanked her for touring with President Trump, but the rapper was quickly escorted away to an unmarked tour bus afterward.
Social media reacts to Nicki Minaj’s New Hampshire appearance.
Unfortunately for Nicki, her Republican support wasn’t enough to change the outcome of New Hampshire’s Senate race. Democrat Chris Pappas won Tuesday night’s election, defeating Republican John Sununu’s bid to return to the chamber after two decades. And, of course, social media wasted no time making Nicki part of the conversation. The jokes practically wrote themselves.
“The Republicans are about to throw Nicki’s ass away,” wrote one user on X.
“She realizes that she just blew her career, right???” wrote one social media goer on YouTube in the comments section of NBCLA’s video.
Another person on X pointed out:
“Every Republican candidate Nicki Minaj endorsed in the 2026 midterm elections have all lost to Democrats.”
WELP! That’s certainly not the election-night recap Nicki was probably hoping for.
Last month, the rapper was also spotted traveling with Trump to Port Huron, Michigan, on Sunday, where she appeared alongside the president at a rally at McMorran Place Arena. The event focused on building support for Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections.
However, the results in Michigan also gave social media plenty to talk about, with Democrat Abdul El-Sayed receiving 52.53% of the vote (2,500,450 votes), compared with Republican Mike Rogers, who received 45.47% (2,164,450 votes), according to the Associated Press.
Even Don Mancini, creator of the horror film Chucky, couldn’t resist joining in on the jokes. Taking to X, he poked fun at Minaj’s recent polling-place appearance, writing:
“Too bad, Nicki! No AI, by the way! #bluewave.”
Yikes! The internet clearly wasn’t giving her a break.
So, About That White House Press Secretary Talk…
Could all this political attention hurt Nicki’s chances of becoming the next White House press secretary? Well, that possibility became a talking point after Republicans sparked speculation about the rapper potentially landing the role last month.
An X video surfaced on Oct. 25 showing Minaj aboard Air Force One discussing President Donald Trump and his economic policies. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared the clip and appeared to float the idea of Nicki joining the administration as its next spokesperson, writing, “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!”
In the video, Cheung asked the “Super Bass” rapper why she believes the economy is “booming” under Trump. Nicki didn’t hesitate to share her thoughts, expressing confidence in the president’s business background and leadership abilities.
“Well it’s booming because we have a president that understands economics first of all… the president is naturally a business man. He’s worked his way out of not having a dollar left in the bank, so if he could do that…surely he knows what to do with the country. He’s very tough,” she explained.
Whether Nicki is seriously being considered for a White House position or Cheung was simply having a little fun with the internet remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: between the campaign appearances, election results, and social media roasting, the rapper is finding herself in quite the political spotlight.
What do you think of Nicki Minaj’s New Hampshire appearance during the 2026 midterm elections? Do you think her political support could affect her career, or is the internet simply doing what it does best?
