Deidra L. Jackson has joined Phillips 66 as Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs, assuming responsibility for the company’s global communications and public affairs strategy.
In this senior leadership role, Jackson will help shape and advance the reputation of one of the nation’s leading energy companies, overseeing a broad portfolio that includes corporate communications, public affairs, executive positioning, stakeholder engagement and reputation management. She joins the company’s executive leadership team and reports to Vanessa Allen Sutherland, Executive Vice President, Government Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Jackson brings more than two decades of experience leading communications, corporate affairs, public policy, stakeholder engagement and reputation strategy for major global companies and organizations. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for North America at Drax Group, where she led communications, government affairs, community relations and reputation across the United States and Canada.
Previously, Jackson served as Chief External Affairs Officer at Ridgeline Advocacy Group and as a Senior Advisor at FTI Consulting, counseling senior executives and organizations on complex corporate, public affairs and reputation matters. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade with BASF, holding increasingly senior leadership roles across corporate communications, government affairs, community relations and stakeholder engagement.
Throughout her career, Jackson has complemented her corporate leadership with a longstanding commitment to civic, cultural and community service. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Washington Performing Arts and has held board and advisory roles supporting the arts, education, civic leadership and community advancement. Her service reflects a consistent commitment to using leadership and influence beyond the corporate arena to strengthen institutions and expand opportunity.
Jackson’s appointment at Phillips 66 marks the latest chapter in a career spanning the energy, manufacturing, consulting and public affairs sectors and places her in a key leadership position at a consequential moment for both the company and the global energy industry.
