Shahid Kapoor made his OTT debut with Raj & DK’s Farzi and proved that, be it the big screen or small, he can captivate audiences equally. The show followed the story of a small-time artist, Sunny, who gets drawn into the world of counterfeit currency along with his best friend. As the duo make fake currencies, they face challenges from a gangster, Mansoor and a cop, Michael. The show was an instant hit, and as per reports, the second season of Farzi will go on floors in December this year. Amid this, a report has come out stating the whopping fees Shahid has charged for the sequel.

As per Pinkvilla, he has been paid a premium amount of Rs 45 crore for the sequel of Farzi. This marks the highest amount he has ever received for a project. As per the publication’s sources, Kapoor generally charges Rs 25 to 30 crore per film, but has charged more for Farzi as it is a digital show and he has a different fee structure for OTT and theatrical releases.
