The wait is over, JAŸ-Z is reportedly set to headline the 2027 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show on Feb. 14, according to a music insider who spoke to Deadline on Oct. 20.

Now, fans are wondering what the New York rap icon will have in store when he takes center stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Will he revisit classics from The Black Album, deliver fan favorites from Reasonable Doubt, or dig into the hits from his Blueprint trilogy? Only time will tell.

But if we could offer Hov a few suggestions ahead of the big show, we have 15 songs we’d love to see him perform during the 2027 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.

From chart-topping anthems to Hip-Hop classics, these tracks would make for a halftime performance to remember.

15 Songs JAŸ-Z Should Perform at the 2027 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.

1. “Public Service Announcement (Interlude)”

Few songs capture JAŸ-Z’s larger-than-life persona quite like this The Black Album classic. From its instantly recognizable opening to its bold declarations of greatness, the track would set the tone for a halftime performance celebrating one of hip-hop’s most influential figures. It would also give Hov the perfect opportunity to command the stage and remind millions of viewers why he remains a rap icon.

2. “Empire State of Mind”

An anthem celebrating New York City, this Alicia Keys-assisted hit would be one of the most powerful moments of the entire show. The song’s soaring chorus, uplifting message, and unmistakable New York pride would make it especially meaningful for the Brooklyn-born rapper. Bringing Alicia Keys out for a live performance would add another layer of excitement, while the crowd singing along to the chorus would create an unforgettable stadium moment. We see it now!

3. “Dirt Off Your Shoulder”

With its unforgettable beat, signature hand gesture, and confident delivery, this The Black Album standout deserves a spot on the setlist. The track captures JAŸ-Z at his most charismatic, delivering a message about brushing off criticism and continuing to succeed. Its recognizable opening and hard-hitting production would translate perfectly to the Super Bowl stage, giving fans a chance to rap along to one of his most enduring hits. Maybe he can tap Timbaland, who produced the classic, to make a cameo, too. Now that would be iconic!

4. “99 Problems”

This rock-infused hip-hop classic would bring an edgy, high-energy moment to the halftime show. Produced by Rick Rubin, the track stands out for its gritty guitar riffs, commanding drums, and instantly memorable chorus. A performance featuring dramatic lighting, live instrumentation, and JAŸ-Z’s signature swagger would give the show a different sonic flavor while reminding viewers of his ability to push hip-hop beyond traditional boundaries.

5. “Big Pimpin’”

JAŸ-Z could bring some early-2000s nostalgia to the Super Bowl with this Timbaland-produced hit. Featuring an infectious beat and a distinctive instrumental sample, “Big Pimpin’” remains one of the rapper’s most recognizable collaborations from that era. Its lively production and Southern Hip-Hop influence would bring a party atmosphere to the stadium, making it an ideal choice for a medley designed to keep the crowd on its feet. It’s one of our favorite tracks off of Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter, too.

6. “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)”

Sampling The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” this feel-good anthem helped establish JAŸ-Z as a mainstream superstar in the early 2000s. Its upbeat production, catchy hook, and playful delivery would provide a welcome dose of nostalgia for longtime fans while introducing younger viewers to another essential entry in his catalog. With its infectious energy and instantly recognizable sample, “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” would be a natural fit for a stadium full of people ready to celebrate.

7. “Run This Town”

Featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, this Grammy-winning collaboration would bring a cinematic, arena-sized moment to the performance. The song’s dramatic production and themes of ambition, power, and taking control make it particularly suited for the Super Bowl stage. A surprise appearance from Rihanna would undoubtedly excite the audience, while the track’s commanding chorus and powerful instrumental would give the performance the feel of a major musical event.

8. “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)”

Built around a memorable sample from the Broadway musical Annie, this breakthrough hit helped JAŸ-Z reach an even wider audience and became one of the defining songs of his early career. Its clever sampling, autobiographical undertones, and unforgettable chorus make it a standout in his discography. Performing it at the Super Bowl would celebrate the journey from his early days in Brooklyn to becoming a global music mogul, giving longtime fans a moment to appreciate just how far he has come.

9. “N***as in Paris” — with Kanye West

Few collaborations deliver the same level of explosive energy as this chart-topping anthem from JAŸ-Z and Kanye West’s joint album Watch the Throne. With its booming production, quotable lyrics, and club-ready beat, the track would bring the stadium to life. A reunion between the two rappers to perform the hit together would also be a major talking point, turning the halftime show into a moment hip-hop fans would discuss long after the final whistle.

10. “Crazy in Love” — with Beyoncé

What would a JAŸ-Z halftime show be without the possibility of an appearance from his superstar wife? Beyoncé joining him for their iconic collaboration would deliver a memorable moment celebrating one of music’s most influential couples. With its explosive horns, infectious rhythm, and Beyoncé’s unmistakable vocals, “Crazy in Love” would bring a burst of pop energy to the setlist. It would also create an opportunity for a spectacular performance that appeals to both hip-hop fans and a broader mainstream audience.

11. “Young Forever”

Sampling Alphaville’s “Forever Young,” this reflective track would provide a more emotional moment amid the high-energy hits. Featuring Mr Hudson, the song explores the desire to make a lasting impact and preserve the feeling of youth, themes that resonate with JAŸ-Z’s decades-long career. A stadium filled with fans singing along to its uplifting chorus would offer a touching reminder of his longevity and the lasting connection he has built with audiences across generations.

12. “Can I Get A…”

Featuring Amil and Ja Rule, this late-’90s hit would take fans back to the era when JAŸ-Z was establishing himself as one of hip-hop’s biggest stars. Its catchy chorus, energetic production, and memorable guest appearances make it a strong candidate for a nostalgic throwback segment. Including the song would also allow the performance to highlight the earlier chapters of his career, showing viewers that his catalog extends far beyond his biggest mainstream hits.

13. “On to the Next One”

With its futuristic production and bold energy, this The Blueprint 3 track would keep the momentum going while showcasing another side of JAŸ-Z’s musical evolution. The song’s minimalist, hard-hitting beat and forward-looking message reflect his ability to embrace new sounds without losing his signature confidence. It would also work well as a transition between different eras of his catalog, reinforcing the idea that JAŸ-Z has continually reinvented himself throughout his career.

14. “Show Me What You Got”

This brassy, high-energy track would be perfect for showcasing JAŸ-Z’s charisma and commanding stage presence. Driven by a lively instrumental and an upbeat rhythm, the Kingdom Come single has the kind of celebratory swagger that would translate well to a massive live audience. It could also provide a visually exciting segment, complete with a full dance ensemble, elaborate staging, and a performance that emphasizes the larger-than-life spectacle expected from a Super Bowl halftime show.

15. “Encore”

Closing the performance with “Encore” would be a fitting way for JAŸ-Z to celebrate his remarkable career. Featured on The Black Album, the song carries a triumphant atmosphere that feels tailor-made for a major live finale. Its celebratory production and references to his accomplishments would give the rapper an opportunity to reflect on his legacy while thanking the fans who have supported him throughout the years. As the music builds toward its conclusion, “Encore” would leave viewers with a powerful reminder of JAŸ-Z’s impact on hip-hop and his place in music history.
