NFL training camps have officially opened, bringing the familiar mix of position battles, breakout candidates and championship expectation back into focus. However, for the Philadelphia Eagles, this summer carries a little more pressure than usual. The team is attempting to rebound from a frustrating finish to the 2025 season while adjusting to several major changes around quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Philadelphia finished last season 11-6 and won the NFC East, but its attempt to repeat as Super Bowl champion ended with a disappointing 23-19 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round. The Eagles’ offense scored only 19 points, failed to capitalize on two defensive interceptions and stalled on its final possession with a chance to win the game. Timex currently offers several silver-toned T80 options, including 34-millimeter and upgraded 36-millimeter stainless-steel models.
That price point makes Hurts’ selection even more interesting when compared with some of the watches he has worn in the past. He has previously been spotted wearing several Rolex models and received a limited-edition Breitling created to commemorate Philadelphia’s Super Bowl LIX championship. That watch, numbered one of only 59 produced, featured an 18-karat red-gold case, an Eagles-green dial and a price reaching approximately $41,000 with the matching gold bracelet.
Hurts has never seemed overly interested in proving his wealth through every purchase, though. Even after signing a five-year, $255 million contract extension in 2023, he has regularly discussed financial discipline, saving money and avoiding unnecessary lifestyle inflation. Rocking an affordable Timex at training camp fits that understated image perfectly. The watch may not have been small, but in an offseason filled with major questions about Philadelphia’s future, Hurts once again proved he does not need the loudest accessory in the room to get everybody’s attention.
