Thirteen Taiwanese green technology companies showcased sustainable solutions and explored business partnerships with Philippine companies during the Green & Innovation Showcase held as part of recent Taiwan Expo 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
The three-day Taiwan Expo 2026 brought 125 Taiwanese companies to Manila, covering industries including artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, renewable energy, healthcare, agriculture, food and consumer products.
The Green & Innovation Showcase, organized by Taiwan’s International Trade Administration (TITA) together with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), focused on renewable energy and power infrastructure, sustainable building materials, eco-friendly industrial and consumer solutions, and advanced water treatment.
The participating companies held targeted business-to-business matching sessions with Philippine stakeholders, including major corporations, government offices, corporate venture capital firms and real estate holdings, to explore sustainable solutions and cross-border collaboration.
The 13 exhibitors were Shihlin Electric & Engineering Corp., DaHe International Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Jiedeng International Co., Ltd., Champion Building Materials Co., Ltd., Super Battery Co., Ltd., Fortune Electric Co., Ltd., hiPower Hydrogen Technology Co., Ltd., Aireco Co., Ltd., Richten Energy Co., Ltd., Smart Power System Co., Ltd., Cutes Corp., Tin Jet Technology Co., Ltd. and Wonder Grenner Co., Ltd.
The expo featured technologies including sodium-ion batteries, energy management systems, transformers, methanol-hydrogen generators and other decentralized energy solutions. Other sustainability-focused technologies included solar products, energy-efficient building materials, smart recycling systems and environmentally friendly consumer products.
The technologies are being presented as the Philippines addresses infrastructure gaps and seeks to increase renewable energy use. The Department of Energy targets renewable energy to account for 35% of the country’s power generation mix by 2030 and 50% by 2040.
TITA and TAITRA also hosted the inaugural Taiwan-Japan-Philippines Industrial Cooperation Forum, which brought Taiwanese and Japanese companies together with Philippine businesses to explore cooperation in areas including green energy and smart cities.
The forum featured Shihlin Electric & Engineering and Fortune Electric and sought to connect foreign technology providers with Philippine system integrators, distributors and other local partners.
