Drake is once again the talk of the music world thanks to his FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) livestream, and he is also letting us know that the people of Palestine are on his mind.
Say what you want about Kendrick Lamar’s favorite punching bag, who is notoriously problematic. However, he is consistent when speaking up for the plight of the people of Palestine, who are still the victims of an ongoing genocide.
We can’t also forget his Jewish heritage.
Drake was one of the first artists to call for a ceasefire in the Israel/Palestine conflict, and like some other big names in the music space, he isn’t staying quiet on the matter.
Drake, who refuses to leave us alone, is back with a film called FOMO, which is streaming now, and he used the moment to show his solidarity with the Palestinians.
In an unreleased song that is more on the upbeat and braggadocious side, Drake managed to slide in a “Pray for Gaza” bar, which comes at a pretty significant moment in time, especially following the fallout from Macklemore shouting out “Free Palestine” during his opening set on Ed Sheeran’s tour, leading to him getting the boot.
Drake is a major superstar, and no one is kicking him off a tour; hell, he is about to head on another one in 2027, so his using his massive platform is huge.
Also, he was very vocal in calling out former friend and collaborator DJ Khaled for his silence on the ongoing genocide in Gaza on the song “Make Them Pay.”
