During Wednesday’s trial proceedings in Lil Durk’s murder-for-hire case, alleged text messages were revealed in court.
The messages reportedly came from a private thread involving Durk and other OTF members, where the Chicago rapper allegedly listed several people he considered his “ops.” The names included Trina, NBA YoungBoy, Quando Rondo, Puke, The Feds, Buttercup, 6ix9ine, and Alexander Witherspoon.
The alleged message ended with Durk writing, “these the mf’s I hate and got something against me.”
The inclusion of NBA YoungBoy and Quando Rondo comes after their reported beef with Durk and OTF. Particularly following the 2020 death of King Von during an altercation involving Quando Rondo and Lul Timm.
Witherspoon was previously involved in an alleged 2019 Atlanta shooting involving Durk and King Von. Durk was arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident, but the charges were ultimately dropped in 2022.
Fans also pointed to the name “Buttercup,” with some speculating that Durk could be referring to Lil Reese. Menawhile, Tekashi 6ix9ine has had a public history of tension with Smurk, with the two trading shots on multiple occasions, particularly while 6ix9ine was dealing with his own legal troubles.
The alleged messages provide another glimpse into the beef anf tensions surrounding Durk and OTF that prosecutors are presenting throughout the trial.
