The Philippines ranked 10th among 11 East and Southeast Asian economies included in the 311 Institute’s Global AI Power Index 2026, ahead only of Cambodia. Globally, the country placed 48th out of 93 economies, scoring 12.7 out of 100, while Cambodia ranked 91st with a score of 6.3. The Philippines was classified as “emerging” in artificial intelligence (AI) power. The index measures economies’ ability to build, fund, use, and protect advanced AI, taking into account factors such as computing power, research, talent, investment, and governance.
