Bravo is hoping to build on the success of its Next Gen NYC series by moving it to the Peach State, and the rumor mill claims that Reginae Carter and Riley Burruss may be the anchors for an ATL spinoff.
The reality TV giant revealed that the show was in the works on Oct. 23 but stopped short of naming cast members, leaving many fans to create their own dream casting. TMZ reports that both Burruss and Carter have already been considered but that nothing is finalized as of yet.
Riley was already part of Bravo’s first series Next Gen: NYC, but many fans felt her lack of screen time and storylines fraught with concerning behavior wasn’t the best look for her. Comments on the network’s page seem to think that a return to her ATL roots and a more diverse cast would be a good move for her. And, of course, Reginae is no stranger to the reality TV cameras, having appeared on TI & Tiny’s: Family Business, Toya & Tiny as well as her own show alongside her mother over the years.
Reginae has also built an impressive list of her own endeavors via her YouTube channel, including her podcast series Heir Time, in which she interviews fellow Black nepo babies about their experience having famous parents as well as her diverse brand deals. As an influencer, media personality, and actress, Reginae has definitely proven that she has a limelight that is all her own.
Another name that the comments section had a lot to say about was TI and Tiny’s daughter Zonnique, with many noting that she and Reginae would be must-see TV, giving the OMG fans another reason to gag over their favs.
Her storyline could be an interesting one as she balances motherhood and music alongside her fun, crazy family, which also includes brothers King, Domani, Major and Messiah and little sisters Deyjah and Heiress. Plus, she’s beloved as one of ATL’s favorite princesses.
Amid the casting speculation, Dr. Heavenly Kimes entered the chat to confirm that her daughter Alaura had the option to join the show, but she decided not to follow in her viral mom’s footsteps.
“She didn’t want to do it so I respect it. I love her so much,” Kimes wrote when asked if the princess was approached.
The casting conjecture took off when an alleged clip of the cast while filming hit the internet. Eagle-eyed investigators spotted Angela Oakley’s daughter Ahmauri and SWV singer Coko’s son Jayye Michael, but there is still no confirmation of whether everyone in that clip is a cast member.
Time will tell who will be part of Next Gen: ATL, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see any of these celebrity seeds make an appearance.
